Over 250 students representing twelve school districts participated in the 73rd WCAMTA All-County Vocal and Jazz Band Music Festival held Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26.
The annual festival was hosted by Whitehall Central School District. This is the first year the festival included school jazz band musicians. Students rehearsed on Friday, and again on Saturday morning to present a collaborative performance Saturday afternoon.
Salem was well-represented with forty students selected to attend. Four of the five solo performances were given by Salem students Uta Nagi, Josephine Monder, and Hannah Gongola. Hannah performed two solos.
